Wolves Spring Cup Tournament!
The 2022 Spring Cup tournament will be held June 3-5 at La Vista. This year we have 67 teams coming from as far away as Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota! All Wolves teams are in the tournament as part of your registration cost. We’ll let the other teams help us raise funds for club operations and facility improvement.
Tournament Shirt Orders:
All tournament shirts should be pre-ordered by May 22nd. We may have a few extras to sell at the tournament but with the supply chain adventures we’ve been having with other gear, who knows! Order via This Link on the Wolves Website.
Tournament Help Wanted:
While the goal of hosting tournaments is to raise funds for the club, we don’t arm twist for volunteers. Those who pitch in to help get paid $10/hr out of tournament proceeds, either in account credit or by check. Sign up Here to help work at the tournament. The sign up sheet also includes some brief job descriptions. Preference will be given to existing player families but if you have friends or relatives who want to help out, please pass the word.
Note on Field Marshal helpers – These positions do not necessarily have to be filled by an adult, if an older player or sibling wishes to help out that is fine, as long as they are mature enough to be able to answer questions from adults (coaches, referees, etc.)
Tournament Schedules
We are a bit behind on the schedules but they should be out by the end of this week. There was a tournament in Lincoln that had a couple of brackets collapse and we have been scrambling to help find spots for some of the teams orphaned by that.
Simple Truth Soccer Partnership
Our partnership with Kroger Supermarkets (a.k.a. Baker’s in this area) continues. With your support, Baker’s will help provide food and drink for our staff, coaches, and referees at our tournaments and other Club events. The Kroger Simple Truth Soccer Program’s generous support will help keep everyone’s costs down by eliminating some tournament expenses and helping reduce club overhead costs in general. Please look for weekly offers from Bakers this Spring via email and social media. Wolves can earn additional support bonuses if we get enough engagement (email opens, clicks, etc.) so please do your part to support our supporters!
Focus on Wolves – U7B Red Wolves
The U7 Boys Red Wolves team, with coaches Ashley and Aleh, have been having fun in the sun when we’ve had the sun to have fun in.
Many thanks to the coaches, and all parents for the time and effort you have put in to make this team work. And congratulations to the players on a great season, let’s finish it off with a great tournament!
