Wolves online store
For those that ordered spirit wear and used the bulk delivery option, it has arrived! You may pick your orders up at the clubhouse this week during practices. Thanks for your support!
We plan to open the online store up again in June for another round of orders.
Player / Team of the Week!
Due to the lack of submissions, there is no featured player or team of the week in this issue.
Parents, coaches, or anyone – please submit your team or player photos to the club. We would love to be featuring a player or team of the week in our newsletters and blogs. Send team photos (in uniform), or any game action shots to info@metrowolvessoccer.com, along with any pertinent information.
We also welcome news about non-soccer achievements by our players – academic success, community work, just let us know!
Owls Win!
Our first Wolves outing at Werner Park saw Union Omaha victorious in their home opener. Obviously our Howls for the Owls made the difference! Stay tuned for further group outing information.
Simple Truth Soccer Partnership
The latest round of the Simple Truth Partnership messaging went out on Thursday. We will be getting a generous donation from Kroger / Baker’s in return for passing along these offers to you this Spring. Please help us keep our costs down by opening the emails, clicking on the Save Now or social media links (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) for the weekly offers from Bakers. Wolves can earn additional support bonuses if we get enough engagement (email opens, clicks, likes, etc.) so please do your part to support our supporters!
Junior Academy Update
Last Saturday’s Junior Academy (La Vista Academy & League programs managed by Wolves) had our first session on Tuesday that actually felt like Spring weather! But Mother Nature decided that two in a row was too much of a good thing and rained us (and all other league games in the area) out for Saturday.
Wolves Spring Cup Tournament
The unofficial end to the Spring season will be our Spring Cup tournament at the Sports Complex, June 3-5. All Wolves teams will play in this tournament for free, so Save the Date!
Parents may also earn money or account credit by working at the tournament in a variety of roles – no arm twisting for volunteers. While net proceeds benefit the club, those who work at the tournament benefit more!
Last year we had 50+ teams at Spring Cup and we look to improve upon that as everyone emerges into a post-Covid activity cycle. About 25 non-Wolves teams have already registered, thank you!
