Spring Soccer is HERE!
Wolves teams have opened the Spring 2021 season with good results. Sarpy County League games for several teams were held this past Saturday (4/10/2021), resulting in 5 wins for Wolves girls and boys from U7 to U10!
Congratulations!
Next weekend it will be game day at La Vista for most of our Sarpy County teams – stick around and support the rest of the Pack if you’re in the area!
NYSL games scheduled in Lincoln for this past weekend were postponed due to soggy field conditions. Parents – check with your coach or team manager for reschedule information.
La Vista Academy and League are Underway
The La Vista Recreation Department’s youth soccer Academy and League programs started up this past week also. 90 players ages 4 to 7 practice and scrimmage at the LV Sports Complex under the guidance of Wolves staff and dedicated parents. Many thanks to the 12U Boys team “Chaos” for helping out on Tuesday and setting a great example for the younger players!

- Everyone meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
- On Saturdays the 4 and 5 year olds meet at 9:00 a.m., 6 and 7 year olds meet at 10:00 a.m.

Wolverhampton Notes
Our English Premier League affiliate Wolverhampton Wanderers returned to action after the International break with a tough 3-2 loss to West Ham United, but followed that up with a thrilling 1-0 win over Fulham thanks to Adama Traoré’s stoppage time goal. Never give up! Next up: Sheffield United on April 17th.
Spring Cup Tournament
Wolves Spring Cup tournament will be held June 4-6 at the La Vista Sports Complex. Over 20 teams have already signed up, towards our goal of 60-70 teams. Participation for Wolves teams is free, so save the date!
La Vista League teams – note that if you move up to a “Wolves” team for the summer and fall at the conclusion of the League program, your team can participate in the tournament as well.
Thank you to Grandel’s Construction and Roofing, and to Ken Summerfield with American Family Insurance for their sponsorships of this year’s tournament. And as always, a big thank you to Sarpy County Tourism for continuing to be a presenting sponsor of all Wolves Tournaments.
More sponsorships are available – if you know any local business who might help us out please help us keep our costs down and refer them to us. Thank you!
S.O.S. – Soccer Over the Summer
Similar to our winter academy, Wolves will offer Soccer Over the Summer at the LVSC on Tuesday evenings. Training for players signed up with Wolves for the 2021-22 season will be included in your club registration, but this will also be open to the public. We will divide S.O.S. into 2 or 3 terms to help accommodate those people who have other plans during the summer. Stay tuned for details!
