Coach Cesar is the Associate Director of the Division of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion at Creighton University in his non-soccer spare time!

How did you get into soccer?

I first got involved with soccer at 5 years old when I joined my first team. I have been playing ever since.

What do you like about the Wolves?

I am new to the Wolves but I am excited about how welcoming the coaches and kids have been so far.

Who is your favorite soccer player of all-time?

Guillermo Ochoa, Mexico’s goalkeeper. He is one of the reasons I moved from playing defense to being a goalkeeper.

What is your favorite thing about soccer?

Playing goalkeeper and being able to save a PK or make a game winning save. I think those are pretty great feelings and now as a coach I strive for my players to be able to experience those feelings in their careers.

How many consecutive juggles can you do?

It has been a long time since I juggled, but I think I could still do at least 20 or 30.

What is your favorite part of working with kids?

Being able to teach them the game I love and seeing them have fun just running around on the field, and how their faces light up when they score a goal or make a successful defensive play.
