
Coach Aleh
Coach Aleh (pronounced “Oleg”) is also the father of Wolves players Katerina and Bjorn, and is a pathologist at UNMC when not bringing his international soccer experiences to our practices and games!
How did you get into soccer?
I first played with friends in the neighborhood growing up. Those friends later signed me up for a local soccer team. Once I was at university, I signed up for the university team as well.
What do you like about the Wolves?
There is an exciting atmosphere in and around the field!
Who is your favorite soccer player of all-time?
This is a hard one. Considering his on and off field performance, I would go with Andriy Shevchenko (Sheva).
How many consecutive juggles can you do?
3-4 nowadays
What is your favorite thing about soccer?
It is a team game. You win and lose as a team. It helps build friendships. In my life I have found quite a few good friends through the game.
What is your favorite part of working with kids?
Kids have such pure emotions which are wildly infectious.
